Urban Decay
This Proportional Map depicts the most potential decayed cities in America. The cities are selected where there are more than 200 thousands population. Then according to the annual population growth rate, crime rate and unemployment rate, the nine cities including Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, Toledo, Buffalo, Cleveland, Baltimore, Memphis, and Anchorage are picked out because all of them have negative population rate, relative high crime rate (>372) and above average unemployment rate(>5.3).
Weather Forecast
This Isoline Map uses normal Kringing interpolation method to predict the weather in north America and show the current and the coming weekly temperature of Madison, Wisconsin.
Homicide
This is a Point Analysis Map that demonstrates the results of point pattern analysis based on the locations of homicides in Pittsburgh, PA. There are 3 main causes for homicides: Gun, Gang, and Drug. Finally, the homicides caused by gun and gang tend to be clustered while those caused by drug are randomly distributed.
Landfill Sites Selection
This Overlay Analysis Map demonstrates the process of choosing suitable sites for landfill by overlay analysis. Based on the criteria as shown in the map, slope , distance to water and existed landfill sites, and land use, the four potential sites(in the pink color) are finally picked out.
European Cultural Map
This is a Reference Map of Europe(between Iceland (20°W) and Azerbaijan (50°E), and between the northern tip of Norway (70°N) and the Mediterranean Sea) focuses on political geography, including 43 country labels in addition to the 122 place labels, such as rivers, capital cities, populous cities, and micro-states.
